Dear Johan, I've often thought of you since my return home. On a recent morning on my patio, I reflected how much I enjoyed partaking in the routine of the Caledon. The neatly set tables set for breakfast; tethering of the Jack Russell terrier; arrival of the gardener for the back yard pool; the breakfast staff (all so polite and efficient) and the occasional gardener in the front yard - all of this to the accompaniment of the cape dove. Also your kind introduction to other guests, accompanied by stimulating conversation, along with the diversity of national origins. All to be followed by your wonderful instructive strip maps for the day's adventure and your dialogue of the route, countryside and landmarks, etc. The camaraderie between Bernice and Allison was delightful and refreshing. Your help (suggestions, guidance, insight and patience) made our journey of the Cape area one of the most memorable experiences of my life. Thank you so much for sharing with us. Greetings from a wet and hot Uganda.  I feel extremely indebted to you and your entire team for the overwhelming hospitality that you showed me during my stay at Caledon Villa.  I will always carry very fond memories of my Mini room, the sumptous breakfast, the warm greetings on cold mornings from Johan, and the ambience accorded to me by staff at the reception - I very sincerely want to say - thank you very much, siyabonga!

Your positive outlook to my visit simply testifies to the fact that Caledon Villa is much more than a commercial guest house, the big heart and concern about your customers will always be appreciated and remembered - thank you very much!

Lastly to Bernice at the reception - very courteous and full of friendliness!  Yes, when I was leaving on Saturday morning at 5am, she took all the bother helping me to call a taxi and doing everything possible to see to it that I do not miss my flight... this gesture, I can never be able to pay back!
